	The nail is gone I bit it off when I heard that laughter that insincerity reducing me		1

	The nail is gone I bit it off when you turned against me your footsteps the swiftness of your turn		2

	And yet we take such trouble with manicures and moisturisers and colouring and polishing, hardening and strengthening when suddenly late on a sunny afternoon either soft and unprotected, easily torn or brittle and short I bit it off.		3
