Word
length
The
preferred word length for fiction is a maximum of 800
words for microfiction to a maximum of 3,000 words for
short stories. In exceptional circumstances stories
of up to 5000 words will be considered.
Stories
The fiction and other work in dotlit
covers a very wide range of topics, themes and genres.
Hypertext and other multimedia texts are particularly
sought. Please contact us beforehand if you're planning
to submit audiovisual material as part of a hypertext
work.
Submission
format
Only
unpublished work accepted.
Maximum of 2 short stories and 2 poems to be submitted
for any issue.
We require a paper copy together with a disc copy.
Please include a brief, 3 sentence description of the
writer, and your email address.
Submissions will not be returned to authors unless requested.
Reviews
Review authors, please include full publication
details for the book, including the RRP (if available),
as well as a title for the review that includes the
book's own name. For example,
"Lots
of Names: 'Brisbane White Pages'"
Anonymous. Brisbane White Pages. Brisbane:
Telstra, 2000. RRP: A$10.
Please
note: we cannot offer payment to contributors, but will
not only feature your work in the issue it is accepted
for, but also in our easily accessible archives
section. Work is showcased along with two or more known
authors in a high quality literary review with an international
readership. Authors retain all rights to their work.
