About DotLit
dotlit is an online journal of creative writing. We publish new and emerging writers, but also commission creative works by established writers. dotlit offers payment for some contributions. The journal is published twice yearly and features a mix of fiction, poetry, digital stories, creative non-fiction, reviews and scholarly essays.
dotlit is published by the Creative Writing and Cultural Studies discipline of the Creative Industries Faculty, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. The journal is supported by QUT and Arts Queensland. dotlit was founded in 2000 by Dr Donna Lee Brien and Associate Professor Philip Neilsen.
